Essential if you use OneNote on PC

Fantastic App! Use every day and love. A few things to note, while the iPhone app is free, the PC wifi sync is $15 (once only), or a yearly subscription for the cloud sync. I had a few problems registering my PC purchase on a corporate laptop but MN support was very helpful and we resolved. Contrary to other reviews you *CAN* edit notes, and move the cursor around notes, simply press Edit then the T icon on the bottom left. Have taken lots of notes in meeting etc. However I do find the cursor keys <- and -> a little small and sometimes hit the hide menu key. Also found re-selecting an old text container difficult at times. Coming from Windows Mobile I have a smaller 2003 compatible Mobile Notebook (with 25 pages) and have never had any problems syncing, editing or moving. On first use accidently synced main 2007 notebook, all 2000 pages took in excess of 1 hour. Love ability to sync pictures, formatting and sound (better than Microsoft ActiveSync client!). If you have OneNote on your PC get this you want regret it!

Portability!

Just started using this, since Ive been using OneNote for the last year, and a new iPhone user. Easy and fast sync via the WiFi edition I bought. Have all my notes on hand. Can edit with text, typing, drawing, even recording. Totally going to get it for the iPad when I get one.

Sync no longer working

Since "upgrading" to ver. 2.4 (including the latest 2.4.5) I can no longer sync with my PC over WiFi. Kind of defeats the purpose of the app. Worked great before, but the upgrade broke it. MobileNoter support cant seem to help. Was a great app pre-2.4. Now when I try to sync I just get a spinning "Sending local data" icon for hours and nothing happens. Wait until they fix it before downloading.

WiFi sync does not work after v2.4

This app was great prior to v2.4. After the new version came out both my iPad and iPhone stopped syncing. Prior to v2.4, syncing worked great to both my iPhone and iPad on two different computers. The editing of notes has always been poor and therefore I didnt use it for editing notes. It is very cumbersome to attempt to edit anything. Since editing doesnt work very well and now WiFi sync no longer works I have no choice but to rate this 1 star. Tech support has provided no solution other than to clear the cache folder and reinstall - we did that five times before I gave up. If syncing can be fixed, Ill be happy to rate this 5 stars.

This is one of the most useful App I found for taking notes on the go and syncing with the desktop notes. It let you work without getting through the cloud which is mainly I bought this App. One of the most important feature is their tech support and turn around time. Though they have slow development time for releasing the improved versions, but resolving the existing issues (as promised in the App), the response time is amazing. These guys know what they have developed and how to deal with the issues. I highly recommend this App to anyone who dont want to use the cloud and need a good tool for taking notes ON THE GO. The desktop licensing cost for using the WiFi is all worth paying for it.

Pretty much a useless app

If you dont want to pay the recurring Cloud Sync fee be advise this app is useless. It will not sync with wifi. About a year ago it worked beautifully and was a valuable app to keep my notes synced between OneNote on the computer and MobileNoter, but then they did "upgrades" and nothing has worked since. So save yourself the headache and find something else. PASS

Doesnt perform quite as advertised

Despite the description, this app doesnt recreate your OneNotes exactly as they look on your desktop. I found that text boxes were resized , i.e., the line wraps went past the right-edge off my iPod screen, forcing me to scroll horizontally and vertically to read my text. I even set up an iPod sized template on my desktop to avoid this issue, but the app didnt seem to apply it. Often the text was too small too forcing me to reverse-pinch to zoom out. Id spend minutes just re-jigging the text boxes to get them to be readable. Otherwise, the app seemed to work fine. No issues with syncing via wi-fi, editing, etc.

Doesnt work in iOS 6

I liked this app up until yesterday. I dont sync with anything… just use(d) it as a standalone app… but now in iOS 6 it wont open. I really hope I havent lost my saved data forever here. Update. Soon. Please!

Worked great until IOS 6 update

Was a five star until IOS 6.0 update. I was happy to see today a new version came up with IOS 6 compatibility fixes...until I tried it. If I install it over my existing app or delete the app completely and reinstall it, the WIFI sync still doesnt work. Although my computer is visible from the app under Sync services menu, the connection is never established and the App exits on its own after telling: Sorry, network connection is unavailable. This test made me lose all my notes on my iphone :(

Essential for OneNote users

I have been using this application for many months now and it is beautiful, powerful and exactly what you as a OneNote user needs on his/her iPhone. Quick and easy capture, fast lookup.

MobileNoter Review

Love it! I am only new to OneNote but am finding it indespensable in the everyday for studies and work. The ability to have my notes on the iPhone is brilliant! The sync is fast, easy and makes it great to have the portability of my notes wherever I am!

onenote ?

Original Microsoft Onenote app is out but not available in Turkey. Why not ?

Love. It.

I found MobileNoter, downloaded it to my iPod and PC, and within an hour all my notebooks were on my iPod, exactly as they look on my PC, just in mini-form. Love it, as I searched for and downloaded it after a week and a half of trying to get the branded MS OneNote app to work, only to finally find that I couldnt actually sync my notebooks between my iPod and PC for real without a whole lot of technical hassle-- and that notebooks viewed on the iPod (I had to create them on the iPod as I could not sync with my own on my PC) looked nothing like the notebooks viewed on PC. I decided to see if there was another, third-party app available. Enter MobileNoter. Happiness. MobileNoter app is free, but you do need to also download a small software program to your PC to take care of the syncing-- the software is free for the first 30 days and then $15 for a lifetime subscription (WiFi option, 3G option is a monthly subscription, but the WiFi option is working great for me!). SO worth it if you use OneNote a lot!!

Would love it... If itd open...

Loved it on my 3GS but got my i4 and for some reason Mobilenoter shuts down immediately after opening. Anyone have a answer? No help from maker. ;-(

Cant use to open docs from email or dropbox

Since I cant use this to open one note documents from email or dropbox, this app is pretty worthless to me. Delete.

Amazing app but needs improvement

I need the ability to create notebooks / folders from within the iPhone app. Without this I find its usefullness greatly diminished. Also would like to have password protected notebooks.

Works great when it doesnt crash

Crashes 90% of the time. You have to keep opening it up until you get lucky enough to get in a notebook. Discovered if you search for a keyword you are more likely to get into it.

Expensive, limited and difficult to sync

This app was a big disappointment. After paying $15 to sync notebooks with my PC, it rarely worked. It is also limited if you need to write to a notebook. Mucrosofts onenote app is much better...and free

Was a five star until now

Just updated and lost everything if your wanting this app for long term dont buy it. They update their app and you lose everything, who does that? Not much thought went into the upgrade as far as Im concerned. Going to the Microsoft app now.
